ENGLISH STUDENT LIFE AT UNIVO

English student's life at Universidad de Oriente is quite different than other careers student's life, at least when refering to the subjects and activities we have to follow in order to acquire a new language in a country where a very different language is spoken.
Typically, there is a lot more flexibility with our classes, I mean that we are not pushed to learn, we know that we have to learn because there is no way to demostrate what we know, but speaking, reading and teaching the language.
We have choices to learn, which would be offered on different ways, at different times, and
for different durations, such as scheduled classes, music, paraghraphs, videos and movies,
games and so many different options.

Another cool thing about English student's life is that you usually have more opportunities to explore your interests and passions. For example, you can decide if you really want to teach others, so you can be able to teach elemental school children, high school students or even adult people (if you are really patient), or you can opt to lead your career to an English - Spanish interpreter. Both fields are really great!.

However, English student life offer the opportunity to get involved by joining different english clubs, created by the english students who are always looking for better opportunities to practice the second language. Most careers have many of extracurricular activities, but most of the time it is pretty funny to start an English activity because you can imagine, create and innovate.

Of course, the best way to see what a true life of an English student is like, is to actually get involved in the English community and experience by yourself...
